In partnership with California State University, San Bernardino's Office for Technology Transfer and Commercialization, and others, ACE-Net has developed an educational program aimed at entrepreneurs, investors, attorneys and accountants involved in the development of small and emerging businesses.
The programs are presented in computer aided training format in streaming video through CSUSB or local operators. Each streaming video module is about an hour in length, broken into four 15 minute segments. Each session is taught by a practicing expert with direct entrepreneurial experience in a hands-on, practical way. Each is designed to accomplish a specific task not typically covered in "entrepreneurial training" curricula, but critical to the task of successfully seeking investment. Here are the titles of the entrepreneurial training curriculum, now in development.
- Introduction: Seeking Investment From Angel Investors and SBICs
- Barriers to Entry of Competition and Intellectual Property Protection
- The Management Team as Viewed by Investors
- Marketing and Competitive Analysis
- Business Structure
- Due Diligence, Valuation, and Deal Terms
- Financial and Business Plans for Investors
- Corporate Governance Expectations of Investors
- Exit Strategies
- Presenting to Investors
