The Office for Technology Transfer and Commercialization at CSUSB

ACE-Net conducts networking, educational, training and research activities for entrepreneurs and investors. Companies seeking equity capital to grow can apply to list on ACE-Net. Companies who apply answer a basic set of questions derived from their business plan. Once accepted, they are listed in the ACE-Net database.

The heart of ACE-Net's value arises from a "no action" letter issued by the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and Model Accredited Investor Exemption (MAIE) of 48 states as overseen by the North American Securities Administrators Association (NASAA). They allow ACE-Net to post entrepreneurial offerings safely across state lines for accredited investors to view in a highly secure environment for both, without some of the stringent limitations incurred by broker-dealers, so long as ACE-Net keeps the offerings within a format acceptable to them. ACE-Net's local operators help entrepreneurs translate their business plans into that format.

By using ACE-Net's pre-screened database, investors in angel groups, Small Business Investment Companies (SBICs), and individual accredited investors and intermediaries can deal directly with entrepreneurs instead of having to find investment opportunities through brokers or finders. They do so by locating entrepreneurs listed in ACE-Net's secure database and then contacting them as their interest dictates.

ACE-Net provides ongoing training and research to enhance the business skills of entrepreneurs and small investors.

ACE-Net has formed a partnership with California State University at San Bernardino (CSUSB). CSUSB hosts and maintains the ACE-Net database and Website. This partnership expands ACE-Net's educational and training opportunities.

ACE-Net is not intended as a source of clients or business for attorneys, consultants, brokers, dealers, or any others who charge large fees for services to entrepreneurs or investors. ACE-Net also is not a broker-dealer, investment adviser, or a securities exchange, and therefore, there are no success fees or commissions to pay.
